SHOWGROUND

The 150 acre Royal Welsh Showground is open all year round. We host an array of exciting events set against the spectacular views of the Welsh countryside.

The Showground boasts many different venues catering for a variety of occasions such as weddings, business meetings, conferences, concerts, exhibitions and much more.

Travelling by car

The showground is located where the A470 and A483 cross at Llanelwedd, Builth Wells.

Our FREE park & ride carparks are located on all main routes to the showground and are well signposted from all directions.

Please follow the direction of the traffic and parking marshals to ensure you park quickly and safely and remember to take a note of which carpark you have parked in.

Regular FREE park & ride buses will be running to and from the showground from 7.30am until 9.30pm.

Travelling by train

Our nearest train station is Builth Road. A FREE shuttle bus will bring you the short distance to the showground.
The shuttle buses will return to the train station, leaving the Machinery entrance of the showground, 30 minutes before each train’s departure.

Travelling by bus

The regular T4 bus route between Newtown and Cardiff stops in both Builth Wells and Llanelwedd, only a short walk to the showground.

Disabled parking

A forward parking area is available in all our park & ride carparks for visitors displaying a Blue Badge. FREE low access park & ride shuttle buses will take visitors to and from the showground between 7.30am and 9.30pm.

We also have a limited number of ‘paid for’ premium car spaces for visitors on the showground. Access to this carpark will only be possible by displaying the correct parking passes, which must be purchased in advance by calling 01982 553683.

 

Visitors to RWAS events are subject to security searches as a condition of entry.
