SHOWGROUND

The 150 acre Royal Welsh Showground is open all year round. We host an array of exciting events set against the spectacular views of the Welsh countryside.

The Showground boasts many different venues catering for a variety of occasions such as weddings, business meetings, conferences, concerts, exhibitions and much more.

Preparations for the 2021 Winter Fair are in full swing and extra safety measures are being put in place to ensure that everyone’s safety is a top priority when they are visiting the showground in Llanelwedd. All tickets will need to be purchased before the event HERE, and with the Welsh Government introducing the need of vaccination passports, the Royal Welsh Winter Fair will need to comply with these latest guidelines.

All adults aged 18 and over will need to provide evidence of one of the following at the point of entry to gain access into the event.

  • Provide evidence that you have been fully vaccinated by applying for your COVID-19 Passport.
  • Provide evidence of a negative COVID-19 Lateral Flow Test (tested within 48 hours prior to arriving at the event.

Electronic copy of your COVID-19 Passport

  • Visit the NHS website https://covid-status.service.nhsx.nhs.uk/
  • To access the service, you’ll need to register for an NHS loginif you do not have one already
  • Download and print a copy of your COVID-19 Passport in readiness for the event.
  • Please check the expiry date and ensure that it does not expire before you attend the Winter Fair (29 & 30 November)

Paper copy of your COVID-19 Passport

  • If you would like to request a paper copy of your COVID-19 Passport, call 0300 303 5667.
  • Please note that it can take up to 10 working days for a certificate to arrive in the post and requests cannot be fast tracked.

Negative COVID-19 LFT (test taken within 48 hours before arriving at the event)

You can easily get lateral flow tests from the NHS website for home delivery https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests or you can collect them from your local chemist.

  • Upon completing the test you MUST report your result to the NHS: https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result
  • You will receive a confirmation text or email or an update to your NHS app.
  • A lateral flow test result is valid for 48 hours, so we advise the test to be done on the evening before attending the event.
