The Royal Welsh Agricultural Society has played a leading role in the development of agriculture and the rural economy in Wales for over a century, since its formation in 1904.
Today our work includes providing support for business, social welfare and education in rural communities, and the organisation and staging of our ever-popular society events; the Spring Festival, the Royal Welsh Show and the Winter Fair.

SHOWGROUND
The 150 acre Royal Welsh Showground is open all year round. We host an array of exciting events set against the spectacular views of the Welsh countryside.
The Showground boasts many different venues catering for a variety of occasions such as weddings, business meetings, conferences, concerts, exhibitions and much more.
The Royal Welsh Winter Fair is just around the corner, and in a matter of days, the showground in Llanelwedd will be busting with competitors, Christmas shoppers and festivities. Taking place next week on Monday 28th and Tuesday 29th November, gates will open at 8am.
There are plenty of places across the showground to have a bite to eat or a festive tipple. Enjoy refreshments at one of the many mobile food stands and independent stalls, or warm up inside at one of our catering facilities below.
Hafod a Hendre
A self-service restaurant and bar located in the warm and comfortable surroundings of Hafod a Hendre. Open for breakfast, lunch, supper and refreshments. There will be musical entertainment throughout Monday evening from singing duo, Hywell and Johnny and Welsh performer Clive Edwards.
