We are working to improve the accessibility experience and are working with external specialist bodies to be able to do this. The Showground is divided into two areas by heras fencing – car park and caravan area and the event site.

You can apply for a carer’s pass in advance via the website.
Car Parking
A forward area will be reserved in the car park situated on the lower showground, it is advisable to arrive early to avoid disappointment, please note that there are tarmac roadways however the parking is on a grassed area. Only those vehicles displaying the Blue Badge – Social Services car sticker will be given priority. If you use a wheelchair, please bring this to the attention of the car parking attendant to park you as near to the tarmac road as possible. If a pass is not displayed, then the Society will park visitors in the first available car park. A drop off area will be created by the car parking contractor, whereby you can be dropped off near the Members Centre and the person driving can park the car.
Admission
Parking for blue badge holders is near the Members Centre where you can gain access to the Festival site. There will be an attendant on the ramp to assist you with access, please ask for help. There are accessible toilets in this building. If you have arrange to hire a mobility scooter, the provider will be in this area.
Event site
Once you have entered via the Members Centre visitors are encouraged to turn left to visit the Country Life area and trade stands on the lower showground however you may find it easier to turn right to gain access to the upper event site via the underpass. The underpass has the least gradient of the 3 options available.
There are tarmac roads throughout the site however please note that the Country life sections are on grassed areas.
If you would like to visit the Country Life area please turn right after leaving the Members Centre, there are three elevations to the upper showground, the one next to the main ring is the second highest elevation, increasing in elevation towards the end, please keep to the right as this is the lower height.
A Quiet Area
The event has plenty of quiet outdoor areas and space however we will be providing a quiet area for those needing a temporary indoor calm space in the International Pavilion. This will be manned by the Chaplaincy. Sensory aids will also be avilalable.
Toilets
Accessible toilets are provided within the main toilet blocks by the Pig & Goat Ring, the Montgomery Pavilion, the Clwyd Glamorgan Hall, within the Smallholder Centre (Glamorgan Hall), Members Centre and the Horse Ring toilet block. The largest toilets are in the Members Centre and in the Montgomery Pavilion.
Vulnerable Adults
The Chaplaincy will be at hand to assist any vulnerable adults.

Baby changing facilities are provided in the toilet blocks adjacent to the Goat Ring, Main Ring Underpass, Members Centre, Montgomery Pavilion, Smallholders Centre (Glamorgan Hall), Horse Ring Toilet Block (in car park) and Toilet block near HSBC Bank. Please also note below.
BABY FEEDING & CHANGING AREA
A baby feeding and changing area will be available and manned by Society Stewards and situated in a unit under the main grandstand. The service will be available from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.
Free parking will be in designated areas on the showground.

Dogs are welcome at the event and must be kept on a lead the whole time and are restricted from entering the buildings especially containing poultry, livestock, and catering. Please do not leave dogs in cars. Exceptions will be made in the Food Hall or catering outlets for visitors with assistance dogs.

First Aid treatment is available at the First Aid Centre, situated in the Sheep Ring Control Tower and will be operated by Medical Solutions and open from 12 noon on Friday 17th May for the duration of the Festival. A limited overnight cover is provided by the first aid team.

Please note: There are no cash points onsite at the Spring Festival. Most stands will take card but please bring cash along to be on the safe side.
We take the safety of our visitors at our events seriously and we will have measures in place for your protection, including CCTV cameras at various points on site, bag searches, emergency procedures and protocols in place.
If you have any concerns or see something suspicious, please do not hesitate to contact us. In the unlikely event of a knife or gun attack, please remember ‘RUN, HIDE and TELL’. When you have found a safe place to hide, place your mobile phone on silent and programme it not to vibrate.
