Paul Hannam is a quad bike stuntman from North Devon with 25 years’ experience riding quad bikes & 10 years’ experience racing at British Championship level.
Making their Royal Welsh Show debut this year, Hawkeye Falconry UK will bring an exciting and educational birds of prey experience to the Showground.
Hawkeye Falconry is passionate about showcasing the beauty, skill and natural abilities of some of the world’s most remarkable birds. From majestic eagles and powerful hawks to swift falcons and fascinating owls, visitors will have the opportunity to see these incredible creatures up close and learn more about their behaviour, conservation and role within our natural heritage.
Throughout the Show, Hawkeye Falconry will host a static display where visitors can meet a variety of birds of prey and discover the ancient art of falconry. Their knowledgeable team will be on hand to share insights into the unique partnership between falconer and bird, offering a fascinating experience for all ages.
In addition, the Hawkeye team will present thrilling flying demonstrations in the display arena each day. These captivating displays will showcase the speed, agility and intelligence of a range of birds of prey, providing a rare opportunity to witness their natural behaviours in action.
Whether you are a lifelong enthusiast or seeing birds of prey for the first time, Hawkeye Falconry UK’s first appearance at the Royal Welsh Show promises to be an unforgettable experience.
The RAF Falcons are the UK’s premier military parachute display team, based at RAF Brize Norton, Oxfordshire, they display at venues all over Britain and Europe throughout the year. They have performed many times for the Royal Family and heads of state and set records and introduced many exciting innovations into formation skydiving.
Their exciting free fall display, which includes advanced manoeuvres, falling at speeds up to 120mph from high shows of 7000ft to low shows of 2500ft, and their famous ‘hybrid’ display which includes the Heart or Helix and Crisscross Carousel, which manages to captivate all spectators.
The display also consists of parachutists jumping with flags, including the Union flag and the RAF ensign and all wearing smokes to add to the spectacle of the display.

A farmer born and bred, Meirion Owen has worked with Border Collies throughout his life and is the third generation of his family to be involved in the art of training, competing and demonstrating with sheepdogs across the UK.
Meirion began competing at just nine years old and has enjoyed considerable success over the years. A former Welsh National Sheepdog Champion, he has captained the Welsh team in international competitions and has appeared in three series of the BBC’s One Man and His Dog.
A familiar face on television and radio, Meirion has featured on programmes including The One Show, Countryfile, Songs of Praise and ITV’s Love Your Weekend with Alan Titchmarsh.
Through his entertaining and informative demonstrations, Meirion explains the journey from selecting and training a young puppy to developing a skilled working sheepdog. Visitors will see his talented Border Collies – Helen, Cassie, Jess, Megan and Jammie – expertly guiding sheep or ducks using a combination of voice and whistle commands, showcasing the remarkable partnership between handler and dog.
Adding to the fun, Meirion also invites a member of the audience into the ring for the chance to experience working one of his sheepdogs first-hand, making this an engaging and memorable attraction for all ages.
A firm favourite, the Tristar Carriage Driving team will be back to display in the Main Ring each day of the Show.
The Tristar horses will be stabled in the usual place, please feel free to pay them a visit during the show. The team will also be giving a talk on the history of coaching in the Horse Ring on the Wednesday at 10.30am.
The Regimental Band of the Royal Welsh is one of the very few all-brass bands within British Army Music, drawing players from the South Wales region’s rich brass band heritage and culture to its ranks. All musicians are members of the Army Reserve and commit to the Band around their civilian occupations.
The Band has a versatility of style and repertoire both on the concert platform and on parade as a marching band. It is regularly seen throughout the principality providing a wide-range of public and ceremonial duties from Royal Gun salutes and freedom parades to its continued presence at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff where it performs to rugby fans worldwide.
As well as domestic performances, the Band and Drums have also travelled throughout Europe, Canada, and Australia. Their music has entertained audiences the World over at a number of military tattoos, including the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo in Canada, and at the ‘Musikfest der Bundeswehr’ International Military Tattoo in Düsseldorf, Germany.
The British Army Drone Sports Association (BADSA) are the newest sport of the British Army. BADSA aims to use the skills associated with drone sports for fun competition, enhance the ability of soldiers in the operation and experimentation of drones as well as the transferrable skills to military capability.
BADSA will be setting up a Drone Racing demonstration for the Royal Welsh Show, to showcase soldier skill and introduce this enjoyable Science, Technology Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) sport to the public.

Following its hugely successful debut last year, the Heavy Horse Village returns for 2026, celebrating these magnificent animals and their vital role in agricultural heritage.
The village will include some of the largest horses in the country and offers a fantastic opportunity to get up close to these gentle giants.
The area proved popular with visitors in 2025 and will once again provide a dedicated space to learn more about the history, strength and versatility of shire and heavy horses.
